No, you don't have to sign a contract, but you need to accept the Terms & conditions electronically.
Research can be conducted with complimentary products and services, provided that your institution meets the definition of a qualified educational institution and the research forms are part of the instructional functions of your educational institution.
Complimentary software download can be utilized only for not-for-profit research. Since your research project is commercially funded, you will need to use Bentley's commercial licenses. You may reach out at <Sales ContactUs>.

You will have access to the complimentary software for one year, which starts immediately upon your successful registration on the portal. To renew your license, you will need to reconfirm your eligibility by updating your profile in the portal.

If you no longer have access, it is likely that your license has expired. The license is renewable, as long as you are an eligible student or educator.
We will send you a notification of renewal 30 days before your access validity expires. To renew your license, you will need to reconfirm your eligibility by updating your profile in the portal and validate your email too.
You can download & install Bentley Products using your access on multiple devices as necessary. However you can only use your unique email ID on one device at a time.
No. You can access any Bentley products available through the Portal.
The complimentary software is individually licensed for eligible students and educators. If you have colleagues who want to use the software, they should register through the portal.

If you have a valid Academic SELECT subscription, you will continue to have the benefits included in the Academic SELECT subscription until the end of your contract. Option for access through school-code is available at Product Page. Upon contract expiry, you can take advantage of the new Bentley Education Program.You can also avail the download options available in the portal now instead of access through school-code.
Your existing classroom/lab license and home-use license will continue until the end of your contract period. You may continue using your unique school code provided by your faculty/institute lab administrator for software download through Bentley Education Portal

Yes. Educators and Institute administrators who confirm their eligibility can download and install the software on multiple machines. However you can only use your unique email ID on one device at a time.
Students, educators and lab administrators may login either by using their institutional email ID or alternative email ID. Please watch the video here

The Bentley Education Program provides eligible students and educators with complimentary access to educational licenses for Bentley products, learning, engagement and Career Guidance.
All students enrolled in and educators employed at qualified educational institutions are eligible to the complimentary software download. To begin you need to register/log in and update your Profile in the My Dashboard.

A qualified educational institution is an institute that has been accredited by an authorized governmental agency within its applicable local, state, federal, or national government with the primary purpose of teaching its enrolled students.
Confirming your eligibility helps to ensure the legitimate use of products and services accessed through the Portal.
